“Hello! 👋 I’m James, owner of Thompson Tile. When I moved to Deep River in 2021 to be closer to family, I initially worked for Deep River & District Health where I met many residents in the community while doing renovations on the side. Eventually I decided to make the leap to doing full-time contracting. Now Thompson Tile has 3 active team members and we are growing.
I’ve been involved in renovation and construction since 2016. I discovered tile along the way and completed intensive training at the Terrazzo, Tile and Marble School of Ontario. I hold two certifications from industry leaders, Schluter Systems and Wedi. I believe that bathrooms are such important spaces in the home– sanctuaries of privacy and comfort. I love transforming them for people.”

“Do you provide free estimates?”
We can discuss your project on the phone at no cost. If we proceed to an in-person meeting, we charge a small fee ($150) which covers the consultation, conceptual designs, and the detailed 9-15 page written proposal for your project. This fee is 100% CREDITED towards any projects we actually undertake together. It is due upon scheduling our first in-person meeting together.
“How Long Does A Bathroom Renovation Take?”
A typical full bathroom renovation takes 2-3 weeks, depending on the complexity of the project.
During the project, the bathroom will not be useable. It’s recommended to secure an alternative hygiene solution during the entire duration of the project, if this is your only bathroom.
“Do You Offer Warranties or Guarantees?”
Most of the products we use have a 15-year to Lifetime manufacturer warranty. In addition, we provide a standard 1-year warranty on our workmanship which is fully detailed in our proposal package.
