Meet James Thompson, Owner & Contractor
I’m James, owner of Thompson Tile. My first encounter with tile installation was in 2021, when I successfully completed intensive training at the Terrazzo, Tile and Marble School of Ontario. However, in 2022 my life changed and I moved to Deep River to be closer to family. I began working with the Deep River & District Health Foundation and raised over $2m to support the new 96-bed Long-Term Care Home. I got married (to the beautiful woman in the picture) and bought a house in town.
During my work at DRDH, I met many residents in the community and discovered that most people would strongly prefer not to move into Long-Term Care or other places like retirement homes. People want to live in their own house as long as possible! But, a big barrier to mobility and happy living in later years (or for those living with a disability or mobility challenges) is layout and design, especially for bathrooms. I decided in 2025 that I wanted to contribute to this solution and do bathroom renovations full-time.

“Do you provide free estimates?”
Phone, email, and virtual estimates are 100% FREE! You can also view our pricing page for a general idea of project pricing. We charge for estimates and in-home design consultations, which are fully credited towards the project if you sign an agreement with us within 30 days of the in-person estimate.
“Do You Offer Warranties or Guarantees?”
Most of the products we use have a 15-year to Lifetime manufacturer warranty. We In addition, we provide a standard 1-year labour and materials warranty on our workmanship.
